| Bio: | I lead a relatively normal existence, taking pleasure in the wandering of my mind, dreaming of the past, and creating things. These are (somewhat unintentionally) common themes in my entries. I'm currently going to a pretty school in northern california... ahh Palm Drive, how you are so well groomed. I enjoy having fun, hiking/camping/nature, hanging out with friends, parties, dreaming up new ideas and inventions, and stuff like that. I listen to classic rock, early alternative, classical and electronic music. I wish I had the time (and energy) to participate in sports, particularly soccer and baseball, as I once did as a kid. I am a political centrist with slight leanings towards liberalism and libertarianism. I pay attention to politics although at times I am somewhat disgusted and cynical about it. I don't buy into nationalism although I support the values we preach (although not necessarily practice.) I am usually optimistic about the future, sometimes scared. I have little tolerance for people who think they're always right, extremists, unilateralists, complainers, junkies/losers, people who are intentionally anti-social, chauvinists, crazy feminists, people with huge egos, anything 'macho', people who don't care (or pretend they don't), bleeding hearts, scientologists, religious zealots, the ultra-conservative and ultra-liberal, the overly depressed and the overly optimistic, fatalism, people who need attention, people who take things out of context, people who think their opinion really matters more than it does, generalizations, hype, people who talk all the time, people who never talk, exclusionary forces on a public campus (frats), and people who don't try to understand (I probably left a few others out too). But since most people aren't this way, I'm a friendly guy who has no beef with anyone :) My entries are random, eccentric, and usually reflect only one aspect of my personality. I write in here to get stuff out of my mind and off my back, to vent my frustrations, or to say something cheezy. I don't always reply to comments, mostly because of time, but sometimes because I don't want my journal to turn into some sort of debate (on those oh-so-racy topics!) I'm interested in more things than the interests below. There are very few things I am dis-interested in. Feel free to say hi or add me as a friend or whatever you like. | ||||
